    Rebuilding Kobane conference

    Thanks to the Italian NGO Engineers Without Borders, Snail Aid has been invited to participate to the conference: Rebuilding Kobane hosted by the European Parliament in Brussels on the 1st of July 2015. We hope that Billy Goat Radio tool can facilitate spreading mine risk education messages among returnees.


    Snail Aid at the Mine Action Symposium in Biograd, Croatia

    Silvia and Emanuela took part to the 12th International Symposium and Equipment Exhibition from the 27th to the 30th of April 2015 in Biograd Croatia to present the work on Billy Goat Radio and on Open Source Hardware for Mine Action, such as Disarmadillo.     Proposal for a new Technical Note for Mine Action supported

    Today we have received a very good news; we have been notified that the proposal for a new Technical Note for Mine Action (TNMA) submitted to the International Mine Action Standards (IMAS) Review Board (RB) and latest presented at the IMAS RB meeting in February 2015 in Geneva, is being supported.     A theater piece by Avvocati del Foro di Milano in favour of Billy Goat Radio

    L’Ordine degli Avvocati di Milano, con il patrocinio del Comune di Milano, dell’Associazione La Memoria del Teatro, della Scuola Superiore dell’Avvocatura organizza uno spettacolo teatrale sui diritti umani nelle serate del 17 e 18 marzo al Teatro Filodrammatici di Milano. Parte degli incassi sarĂ  devoluta all'associazione SMINAMENTO Italia Onlus che promuove la seconda missione in Western Sahara del progetto Billy Goat Radio, per sensibilizzare al problema delle mine antiuomo le popolazioni che vivono dei Territori Liberati del Western Sahara.

    The Journal of Mine Action has published the paper on the work we did with Billy Goat Radio tool in the refugee camps of Sharawi people in Algeria. Thanks a lot to our partner organization ASAVIM.

    Snail Aid at CPexpo

    Snail Aid had the chance to present results from TIRAMISU project at CPexpo in a booth shared with the University of Genova. The tools presented were Billy Goat Radio and Locostrav2.


    Billy Goat Radio in Cambodia

    Snail Aid team is back from the second field-evaluation mission of Billy Goat Radio. This time we went in Pailin, Cambodia and we worked with the Cambodian Mine Action Center (CMAC).

    Silvia Aresca, a member of Snail Aid who is a professional photographer, joined the mission. 

    Her pictures can be seen this Friday, the 28th of November in Vico San Matteo 10R in the premises of Chiaro Scuro shop, at 21,30. Anyone interested is welcome to join us.
